ARK's Genesis expansion is not part of the game's initial Season Pass, which means fans have to pay an additional $34.99 for the Genesis Season Pass on all platforms. It can be purchased. Stranded naked, freezing & starving on a mysterious island, you must hunt, harvest, craft items, grow crops, & build shelters to survive. Use skill & cunning to kill, tame, breed, & ride the Dinosaurs & primeval creatures living on ARK. Team up with hundreds of players.

An Expansion Pack is a direct addition to the main game by adding new maps, creatures, equipment, and content without changing the core game-play mechanics.

Expansion Packs are also entirely compatible with the main game, and content can be transferred from an expansion to vanilla servers and vice versa.

  • Interestingly almost every expansion pack has 1 up'd itself adding in a new largest creature in the game with the Alpha Deathworm surpassing the Titanosaur, Rockwell surpassing the Alpha Deathworm, and the King Titan surpassing Rockwell.
    • However, Corrupted Master Controller is not as large as King Titan following the release of Genesis: Part 1.
